What You Must Know For Achieving Success By Brian Turk

Anyone who is anyone really wants to achieve success. Then why do very few people achieve such success? Well, it is because of one very important factor. This is known as people trying to hold you back from reaching your dreams and your true aspiration. You might say why would someone want to hold me back? The simple answer to that question is they are afraid of success themselves and don’t want to see you succeed and leave them behind.

See many people are afraid of true success and even the thought of success scares many people. This is why when you talk about achieving any type of success with these scared individuals they will instantly try to steer you away from it. It is a real shame that this happens, but it is the truth, and it occurs all of the time.

In order to achieve the pinnacle of success you need to do the following things. Don’t buy into someone telling you any different when it comes to what you want in life. You need to tune these negative thoughts and people out of your life if you want to achieve massive success in your life. I know that many of these people may be close friends, or even relatives. However, you can’t allow them to knock you off of your game plan. This is the key to stay on track and follow your dreams. Be nice about it, and tell them if they don’t have any positive or encouraging things to say about what you want in life, then don’t make any comments at all.

Sometimes avoiding negative thoughts from other people can be quite challenging. However, the more you do it, the easier it will be. Then when someone makes a negative comment about something that you want to do, it will be brushed off rather quickly. This my friend is the key to anyone’s success. Do what is right for you, and avoid any and all negative talk from people that try to bring you down.

In conclusion, most people are afraid of being successful, because there is work involved. They will try to do whatever they can to knock you off of your game, because they are insecure and afraid themselves. Don’t buy into this, and continue to pursue what you want in life. The more passionate and determined you are the quicker you will see true results of success in your life.

How to Make Real Changes in Your Life By Cassandra Washington

How to Make Real Changes in Your Life By Cassandra Washington

The most repeated word during the 2009 U.S. presidential campaign was “change.” Hillary had “The Strength and Experience to Bring Real Change.” McCain vowed “The Change You Deserve Is Coming.” And Obama offered “Change We Can Believe In.”

But here’s a slogan you may not have heard much during the election cycle: “Change Begins With You.” You will not see real change because you hope for it or vote for it. Change only happens when you change.

Here are five key points to remember that will help you make successful changes in your career and life.

You can’t expect overnight success.
We are constantly presented with a barrage of get-rich-quick schemes. However, change happens in small steps. So, if you feel you are not making changes as quickly as you should–go easy on yourself. Change takes place slowly.
You must do something different.
Ninety percent of what we do everyday is habit. To change, we must resist the pull to act in the same old way and discover new ways of doing things. Nothing happens until you do something different.
It is important to let go of excuses.
You will never succeed in life making excuses. Instead, take personal responsibility, plan your way, and start taking action toward where you really want to be. People who insist on using excuses seldom make the type of changes necessary for a rewarding life.
Decision is a moment in time; change is a process of time.
Change has four phases: deny, resist, explore, and commit. Moving through the phases can take weeks or months. Where are you in the change process? If you refuse to recognize the need for change, you may be in denial. Blaming others or complaining about a situation could mean you are resisting. Although resistance is normal, you overcome it by acknowledging and talking about it. You shift to exploration when you begin to see possibilities and look for alternatives. Finally, the commitment phase begins when you focus on new ways of doing things or adapt to new situations.
Change is easier when you have support and encouragement.
Some change is difficult to accomplish on your own. Surrounding yourself with supportive people makes change easier. Many successful people enlist the services of a coach. A coach will help you discover what you want, set realistic goals, overcome the things that get in your way, stay on track and stay motivated every step of the way. Everyone needs help; admitting it does not make you less successful.
Change is constant; you can’t escape it. Feeling overwhelmed and getting sidetracked is normal, but you can develop the skills to manage change successfully.

Goal Achievement - 3 Simple Steps to Guarantee Success By Donna Marie Laino

Goal Achievement - 3 Simple Steps to Guarantee Success By Donna Marie Laino

Goals and resolutions are always on our minds when the new year rolls around. Many people use the opportunity to start again, reset goals, and create a new list of goals to achieve new levels on the success ladder.

One important thing to remember is to stay focused. This is probably the number one problem with missed goals.
To guarantee your success there are 3 questions to ask yourself, the most important being:

1. What is important now? Just pick one thing. That is the only thing to concentrate on in that moment. In any given situation, your mind can only process and do one thing anyway. Make the one thing the most important thing.

2. Is this action contributing to my goal? Whatever you decide to do ask yourself if it is really going to make a difference in the outcome that you want to achieve. If you need down time, schedule time to play, check email, return calls, etc.

3. What is the next step? Always be thinking about the next thing. You will create a pattern in your mind for organization, creative thinking, and time management. The process for problem solving also can be managed. You will allow time for masterminding and brainstorming with thinking ahead.

Goal-oriented planning will keep you on the right track for success. Remember these simple questions to ask yourself. Print them on paper and hang them up in your office, computer area or desk. Your mind will be more focused when it only has one thing to deal with at a time. Plan smart and your will always succeed.

Use This Key Factor to Achieve a Success Mindset By Dennis Kelley

Use This Key Factor to Achieve a Success Mindset By Dennis Kelley

One question I am getting this year is, “Should I really set big goals next year or is it better to be less aggressive so as not to be disappointed?” My answer may surprise you. My response is - it depends.

I am a major proponent of the theory of Go Big or Go Home. The human mind can serve us beyond our wildest imaginations if we let it. It has an unlimited capacity to learn and when properly nurtured, it promotes clarity and focus that leads to achievement. However, before this happens you have to make a commitment. You must commit to taking personal responsibility for your thoughts, actions, and results - in fact, for everything.

This is the key factor that will determine whether you achieve your goals next year or not. If you are not willing to take full responsibility for your results, then set less aggressive goals. You probably will still be disappointed with the results even at a lower level of expectation. If you are willing to accept responsibility - and I mean FULL PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIY for your results then go big with your goals.

Once you have committed to a reality that includes taking responsibility, then you will find that the mind engages in belief, change, self-discipline, inspiration and imagination. Each person is powerful beyond measure once they accept that what they have in life is a direct result of the action they take and the responsibility they accept.

Taking personal responsibility means that you let go of blame, excuses and denial and open yourself up to accepting that what happens is up to you. We live in a society of blamers and excuse-makers. It has become so easy to blame society, the government, the economy, the competition or anything else that gets in our way. Taking personal responsibility means that you remove those things from your way of thinking.

What it does not mean is that you stop blaming other things and start blaming yourself. You must stop blaming yourself and instead accept setbacks and failures as learning experiences. It would make no sense to stop blaming others and start putting blame on you. This self-destructive behavior will not lead to the accomplishment of your goals.

This may require you to change your thinking and your beliefs. If so, then get started today by committing to remove the blame, excuses and denial from your vocabulary and your thoughts. Train yourself that whenever you start to think or speak in negative terms that pushes responsibility onto someone or something else, you will stop and re-direct your thoughts to what actions need to be taken now. What do you need to do next to correct the situation or to move forward? Like most habits, you can change your pattern of thought. Once you recognize that negative thoughts do not offer value, you can begin the process of changing your thoughts and create the habit of positive thought.

Go back and review your 2009 Business Plan and your goals that you have written. Make sure your 90-day objectives are action oriented and are in your control. Are the goals big enough or have you limited your thinking? What could get in the way of accomplishing these goals and what can you do about it? Are you willing to take full responsibility for the successful accomplishments of these objectives?

Once you have fully committed to your plan and your goals, then you will be ready to tackle the New Year. That means committing to taking total personal responsibility for the actions, learning, mentoring, personal growth and change you will need to make these goals a reality. Rather than letting the environment control your life, take control of it yourself and you will be astonished at how far you can go.

Being in the Success Zone By Damien Clarke

Being in the Success Zone By Damien Clarke

I’m sure you’ve heard the expression “in the zone,” particularly as it applies to sportspeople or others who are unstoppable as they work towards their goal. Sometimes you can be in the zone regarding your success and nothing gets in your way; other times you can do everything right and find that whatever can go wrong, will. Here are 4 thoughts on creating the habits of successful thinking and getting “in the zone” for success.

1. Expect Success to be Yours
The road to success is always bumpy with many rocks and obstacles in your way. Regardless of what people think, the road to success is never smooth. Your true test of character, attitude and commitment will become evident when you hit those inevitable bumps in the road. All three character traits, if positive, will help get you “in the zone” or at least, keep you there.

2. Success Breeds Success
Success is contagious and has an ability to gain momentum and build on past successes. Most people are encouraged by the success they have (big or small) and it helps them believe that anything is possible. For some it is hard to believe without evidence. That’s why so many people have difficulty losing weight, as the picture they hold of themselves being fit and healthy doesn’t match current reality as the results are not being seen fast enough. We all need smaller goals within the bigger ultimate goal.

3. You Must Choose Success
We all have the power to choose the attitude we want to have for the day. We can choose to be happy and optimistic for what the day may bring, or we can be negative and pessimistic and quite frankly, not a nice person to be around. You can choose to look on the positive side, just as you can choose success. Too often we blame others for our lack of success, when we should be taking responsibility for our actions and choosing to be successful.

4. Experts Don’t Know Everything
Do you follow your gut instincts or intuition for when you have a plan, even though it goes against all conventional wisdom? Or do you listen to what the so-called ‘experts’ are saying? The ‘experts’ are quite often wrong. If all successful people had listened to all of the so-called ‘experts’ in the early days of their journey, it’s a fair bet that they would have given up on their dreams and gone against their gut instincts.

Remember - success is a mindset, it’s more than just wealth!
