Car Dealers - Buying the New Volkswagen Polo by Pete Ridgard

Have you seen the brand new Volkswagen Polo at your local car dealers yet? You wouldn’t be blamed for mistaking it for a golf, but if you look closely, it is there. The new 5th generation polo is slightly larger in both width and length to the past models, and has the same headlights and bumper shape as the VW Golf so you see, it’s an easy mistake to make. From some angles it even looks rather similar to the seat Ibiza, but when you see past these similarities and perceive it as a car in its own right, something really good looking and interesting emerges.
You could do a lot worse that drive around the city in one of these; Volkswagen have managed to catapult the dated Polo into the 21st century, and have in doing so managed to keep up with the competition. It is modern looking, if not a little severe but it can be purchased in the car colour of the moment which is of course, white. Unfortunately the interior lets it down slightly, as parts of it are a bit dated aesthetically.
A big plus, that all the car dealers will be advertising, no doubt, is the fact that it is one of the safest cars in its class. It received a 5 star rating during crash tests which will obviously be a big appeal, although for further safety you’d have to pay around £550 for the curtain airbag system.
The price of the new polo is competitive compared to its rivals, with it being cheaper than the Vauxhall Corsa, the Renault Clio and the Ford Fiesta. You’d think that the low cost would be an indicator of cheap design, parts or missing out on some extras, but you would be surprised at how much you can get for your money with the Polo. Ask your local car dealers for a test drive and a tour around the features and you’ll soon realise how well equipped it is.
